The 2024 Mazda CX-90 PHEV is a new option in the lineup, and it offers the spaciousness of a three-row SUV with the benefits of a plug-in hybrid powertrain. This model is closely designed after the outgoing 2023 Mazda CX-9 but stands on its own in bold ways. The appeal of the 2024 Mazda CX-90 PHEV starts on the exterior with its elegant, modern style. Moderate curves define its look through the lengthy profile and only a hint of contouring on the smooth door panels. Light body molding and an extended air intake near the front fender dress up the sides. The front end shows off Mazda’s signature grille, underscored by a chrome element. This metallic bar thickens as it connects with the eye-catching LED headlights. The Mazda CX-90 PHEV’s exterior features include a hands-free liftgate, roof rails, a sunroof, and auto-dimming side mirrors with heat and power-fold functions.
Inside the 2024 Mazda CX-90 PHEV is a clean, contemporary dashboard design, a digital instrument cluster, and a 12.3-inch infotainment system screen with touch functionality. Other interior features are a tri-zone auto climate control system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, heated front seats, driver’s memory settings, leather upholstery, a wireless charging pad, and a head-up display. These features are combined with several driver’s safety technologies, including front and rear parking sensors, active blind-spot assistance, a rear seat reminder, safe exit assist, a driver attention monitor, lane keeping, adaptive cruise control, and frontal collision mitigation.
The 2024 Mazda CX-90 PHEV uses a single electric motor and a four-cylinder, 2.5-liter gas engine. This plug-in hybrid system produces 323 combined horsepower. Its battery can take you 26 miles on an all-electric battery. This engine system includes all-wheel drive and an automatic eight-speed transmission.
