Performance
The capabilities of the 2023 and 2024 Mazda CX-50 are almost identical, with the exception of a few minor adjustments to the steering and suspension systems. The lower trim levels are outfitted with a 187-horsepower, four-cylinder, 2.5-liter gas engine. A turbocharged 2.5-liter, four-cylinder gas engine is available in the higher trim levels. This engine produces 227 horsepower, and this increases to 256 horsepower with high-octane fuel. Based on the trim level selected, ground clearance ranges from 8.3 to 8.6 inches. Some trim levels add a towing mode and paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Across the board, the Mazda CX-50 comes with standard all-wheel drive and an auto six-speed transmission.
Appearance
The 2023 and 2024 Mazda CX-50 are identically styled. This model is defined by a confident front-end design with a wide, upturned grille, sporty air vents, and compact headlights with a U-style LED ribbon in the center. Dark body molding, a tall roof with a steep descent through the liftgate, and athletically sculpted sides complete the look. The Mazda CX-50 may be available with power-folding and heated side mirrors, all-terrain tires, roof rails, up to 20-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, and other outer features.
Features
You will find a few differences inside the Mazda CX-50’s cabin between the 2023 and 2024 versions. On the Premium trim level and higher trims, the 2024 Mazda CX-50 now has standard wireless smartphone charging and a Bose sound system with 12 speakers. Equipment available for both model years includes driver’s memory settings, leather upholstery, heated front seats, a 10.25-inch central display screen, wireless connections for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an auto-dimming rear mirror, a head-up display, and numerous driver’s assistance technologies.
