2014 Mazda MX-5 Miata May Go Turbo

Since its creation in 1990, the Mazda MX-5 Miata has been a popular compact convertible that has always produced an exciting ride. It is essentially a stripped down roadster in the same vein as the kind of sports cars Britain was producing during the 1950s and ’60s. Its most recent 2012 model continued the Miata’s reputation as one of the top roadsters in the world, offering an exciting drive and sporty feel for a low price.

Mazda, of course, was happy with its 2012 model, but now the company is working hard to produce the 2014 MX-5, and rumor is that they will make this Miata turbo. In order to improve power, the designers apparently plan to go back to basics by decreasing the model’s weight drastically. They also want to fit the 2014 MX-5 with a more powerful engine. Having already tested several options it looks like they will have to make the new Miata turbo in order to get the required extra power.

2012 Mazda3 Review

Since it’s introduction back in 2004, the Mazda3 has been considered the most fun-to-drive hatchback on the market, it’s constantly rising popularity proves this fact very well. Worldwide sales numbers has lead it to become a leader in it’s class, regardless of strong competition.

A few adjustments and changes have made the 2012 Mazda3 even better then it’s predecessor. The applied changes are minimal, most aren’t visible, however the improvement is astonishing when you get behind the steering wheel or have to pay gas bills.

The Japan based auto manufacturer has managed to make the Mazda3 even more fun to drive, but has managed to keep it convenient for everyday use as well. Mentioned amongst the most driver friendly vehicles in it’s class for the past few years mostly, because of it’s firm suspension, outstanding handling and powerful engines. The 2012 version of the Mazda3 has been able to further improve these qualities, while the all new SkyActive engine has fixed it’s biggest flaw: fuel consumption. Owners didn’t get too good MPG ratios with older models, however these new powertrains, offered in the 3i and 3i Grand Touring models, are very economical and eco-conscious. A new Mazda3 equipped with an automatic transmission can do 28 MPG in the city and 40 MPG on the highway, while the stick does 27/39, in addition it’s sportiness hasn’t decreased at all, because the engine produces 155 horsepower.
